2015 REGIONAL COMPETITION

The NTMA Training Centers hosted its second ever Regional Competition on Saturday, April 18th, 2015. 19 robots from all around Southern California competed on a busy and beautiful day in sunny SoCal.

The 2015 Regional Competition saw many newcomers, and a few familiar faces.  One bot not in attendance was perennial powerhouse "OverLoad", from TeamFast ElectricRobots.  After being beaten in Robot Conflict, OverLoad was retired for the moment, and was replaced by a pair of 7.5 pound wedges named "Doorstops of Doom", who were able to walk away being named Coolest Bot.  The finals saw Robot Conflict champion "masSACre", go up against "Who Knows", from NTMA.  After a huge intial hit which left both competitors without the use of there weapon, "Who Knows" was able to push and control "masSACre", and come away with the victory.

Providence High School was named Grand Champion after attaining high marks for engineering, and documentation, as well a an overall 3rd place finish in the battles.

Robot Conflict 2015

The NTMA Training Centers hosted the second annual Robot Conflict on Saturday, February 7th. 16 robots from all around Southern California competed on what was an unusually overcast day in the typically sunny town of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

Three-time NTMA Robotics League champion was toppled in an action packed day of metal-on-metal fury.  Mt. SAC's "masSACre" came away with the top honors as newcomer "Who Knows" walked away the "King of the Ring".

Holiday Melee 2014

The NTMA Training Centers hosted the first Holiday Melee competition. 11 robots from Local High Schools, Community Colleges, and Technical Schools competed in an action packed day that included parts and sparks flying all over the arena.

Last years Regional Competition winner, and Metal Crunch 2014 winner, "Overload" came away with another victory.  Which begs the question, "Can this robot be beat?" Time will tell as students from 6 new schools were on hand to witness Overload's destruction of the competition.

Metal Crunch 2014

The NTMA Training Centers hosted their first Robotics Competition of the 2014/2015 Season - The Metal Crunch 2014. 8 Local High Schools, Community Colleges, and Technical Schools competed in an all day event that put their hard work to the test - and into the cage.

Last years Regional Competition winner "Overload" came away with another victory.  Many new schools were on hand to witness TeamFast ElectricRobots destructive force that is Overload, and take notes on how to stop its streak of 3 competitions won in a row.
